Another drow in my pictures.. oh well, there aren't many on DA at the moment, but there are many in my art, and in my heart too. It seems I have quite an obsession. ...that is, if elves are the "perfect creatures", what may be more intriguing than perfection shaded with evil? *sneers* There is more than this about drow in my mind, but I won't bore you with this. I only say this concept was in my mind for a good deal of time. Don't know why a drow fisher, I have no clues. Original and prints (8x11") are available for sale. Please send me an email if you're interested. |

Ahh I couldn't agree more! Amazing drawing, breathtaking. I would actually really like to know more about how you thought of this drawing and its meaning...if you care to share

I've sort of an obsession with drow, I draw and paint this race a lot (I realize it's very strange that this is the only drow picture on DA at the moment, but I'll add more soon), and at the moment I'm involved in 3 D&D campaigns, and 2 are based on drow.
This picture tells me of calm and serenity, that's something quite strange for a drow... it's almost still, even if the scene should be in motion. I like the fact that it seems made of almost flat shapes, and that the waves are somehow abstract. I guess this helps to suggest there is a symbolism at work... but I'm the first one who has to *read* my artworks, and *search* for their meaning... because they don't tell me (often)! Argh!
(I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful!)

The posture really fits that of a drow.
(I do love long hair, especially on boys!)
