This is a collaboration with my mom, and the first time we made a custom wedding dress.

Our client asked for a very simple looking, yet elegant, wedding dress, a bit fantasy and medieval-like, taking some hints from other clothes I made before.

The cloth of the body and gown is burette (cut on the bias in the gown), while the sleeves are made of chiffon. Colour is ivory.
The decoration is made with sage-green velvet ribbon.

I made the design of the dress, and the basic paper model, and helped with some stuff, but most of the sewing work was made by my mom because I was late with other works (and my mom is much better than me with hand sewing infinite gown edges ;p)

Aaand, the background is our livingroom! :p

Lol! Hey but if ever Kim is going to celebrate something with a special dress, I bet there will be much more lace and transparent veils, don't you think?

Ehh, a lot of this dress was actually sewn by my mom, I feel like almost cheating to post it, even if the concept and the model are mine... *pouts, doubtfully*

Oh it's gorgeous!
I know when/if I get married, I definately want something more non-traditional, such as this. I thought about being a weirdo and having some kind of medeival theme for my wedding, lol.

Oh goodness...you know, when Misery and I got married we had actually attempted to have a medieval style wedding and I had tried to find something like this. Unfortunately plans fell through and we didn't get to do that, but this is gorgeous and something I certainly would have wanted to wear. It's so elegant, and I really like the green velvet trimmings.
