Artist's Comments

A LONG due kiriban for :iconcruelcat: :
his character Kar Tjen H'ay.
3B and 7B pencils on paper.

Here he's on sort of a parallel dimension, talking a mute dialogue with a magical artifact, that is a statuette of the goddess Bastet, which somehow contained part of his mother's soul.

I wasn't given precise details for the scenery, and I decided to try to convey a dreamy feeling, which I assumed to be proper for the situation and the place.

Ah, of course, Kar Tjen H'ay is property of ~CruelCat and art is mine: please don't use this image without permission.

Hope you like it. :)

(p.s. my very first attempt with an anthro character!)

Yes. I am a Christian. But I am also not afraid to admit I am flawed.

very cool, you definatly succeeded with the dreamy feeling, though i'm not sure if it was intended but it seems like the dream will quickly shift to a nightmare. it's really well done and for a first time with an anthro character you really can't tell. looks supurb.

A wonderful addition to the universe, just needs volume control.

In effetti mi sono sempre chiesto se gli uomini gatto potessero parlare con i veri gatti e qui rispondi un poco alla mia domanda :D
Quella è una statua, lo so, ma se contiene una parte di anima, non è viva anch'essa?

Well done. The background is great - I especially like the curly quality of the branches. I think the anthropomorphism turned out great. I really like that left hand. Bast turned out lovely as well.

Gorgeous work and I love how you did the trees. Lovely details too and the kitty is so cute!

I really love it!...it does look very dreamy! I love the glowing lights in the foreground...and is that water ripples?.... the statue's gorgeous! and I think you did a really good job on the anthro for your first try :D they can be a lot of fun to draw lol... it sort of reminds me of the look from the musical Cats...though I've only seen snippits of it.... very well done! I love the feeling to the image most of all :D

You really should get your mind out of the gutter; it's much more fun out here on the street. :D
