See the tiny colored spots on the higher left part of the pic? They are people.
This is to give an idea of the hugeness of these cliffs, which are about 200mt high on the sea (670' I think, or so), and are house for many species of sea birds.
Unluckily the weather wasn't very helpful here: there was a little bit of rain, and an enormous amount of wind, you really (and I mean: really) had the feeling that spreading your arms you could fly away.
I'm not very happy with the pic, and I also had to work on the contrast and saturation to make it a bit better, but still I don't like it a lot, but the landscape is worthy nontheless, I think.

Now, this visit has been quite disappointing to me this time, not because of the weather, nor of the place itself, but because of what they're doing to it.
I've been here several times in the past, the last (apart from this) 3 years ago: up to that moment, this wonderful place still was how it should be: a great, rouch, even crude display of the forces of Nature at work. Impressive, and most of all... wild. True.

I firmly believe that a place like this should remain that way: it's deep beauty is bond to its wilderness. If you tame a place like this one, you take away it's life force.
And this is exactly what they're doing here. And I'm really, really sad.

Of course I didn't include in the pic the mess they're doing, and it would be quite long to explain well what they're doing here (shortly: huge visitor centre and shop for tourists, where grassfields were, paved corridors where there were paths, fences to avoid people to explore the area, etc), but my heart bled. I've been lucky enough to see this place for the first time 11 years ago, the first time, at the sunset, and then few other times. Now I don't think I will go there again, it's too sad.
I will treasure the pictures I took during the last years, and say: this is what it was, when the cliffs were still free and wild, and a person could go there and feel tiny and shy, in front of the grandeur of Nature.

This is simply amazing. I love the shot, the color, everything about it. Also sorry to be lazy, but I looked at all of your other Ireland shots and each one was just as wonderful as this one. Absolutely great work.
