I wanted to see if I was able to make a comehow complete drawing, instead of the usual sketch with mainly white background...
Anyway, this character was inspired by the main villain of 'Blood and Honor', a little but very nice book by Graeme Davis.
The char is an elf necromancer (but in the book he has a big shythe instead of the sword).
I also had a certain idea of making this pic a coloured painting, but in that version my mind's eye sees it rather different, less details and a lot of dark brown-dark red-black, something heavy and oppressing.
Instead, I started the pencil drawing and this is the result, which is completely different, but not so bad, imho.
Oh well, ok, not a great study for composition I admit but, hey, it started as a quick thing for fun! :-P
Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooo
Well, I'm staring.
Even though it's just a picture it's somehow colder here. He has an aura of total control and chilling dread. The plants are dying under his feet what makes the impression even more powerful. Apart from the main character I like also the background, which is very detailed and works well for the composition highlighting the impact of the foreground.

This one gave me a whole new outlook on you. The level of detail here is amazing. The feel he gives off, the detail the the picture, his outfit, his own body ... its great!! You are one of the most versatile persons I know!
