Soo, finished (looks like it took ages).
(Now I think I'm decently "trained" again with my pencils...)

He's the same punk of one of my other last drawings (this: [link]).
In the beginning I didn't know who he was, then I did get some "hints" and he came out to be Christopher, a *very marginal* (i.e. for now, almost non-existent) character of the stories I'm writing with *PoldalleLovesnare

At the same time, this picture is quite personal to me. The concept came to me without thinking, and it's what I'd call an "inner self portrait": the picture is what I feel/am in a certain moment/period.

In this case, the spirit of rebellion against what I hate, I fight, and appearently can't win. At the same time, a deep, almost melancholic need for love, a wish both for loving, protecting, cuddling, and for being loved, protected, cuddled. In a world that seems mostly indifferent, rather grey and empty, lonely.

(Hey, mind you! It's just the reflection of a little shard of my feelings in time, I'm not always like that, not even in the hardest times! )

This kind of work is quite therapeutic to me. It's like a way to take what feels bad inside me, and put it out: in this case, in graphite and paper.
When it's out, I can observe it, understand it, and go on.

Last note: his pet is a rat. It came out pretty gigantic, I know it, but it can't be a ferret, the shape of the body, ears and muzzle speak of a rat.
